The grand carnival parade of the 20th China International Cartoon & Animation Festival (CICAF) was held in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province on the morning of May 18, immersing spectators in a jubilant celebration of animation infused with Chinese culture.

Amidst joyful rhythms, troupes of performers portraying cartoon and animation characters paraded down the main street, interacting with delighted audiences lining the sidewalks.

Among the performers in the parade, 150 were selected from cartoon and animation enthusiasts through a public activity in April, embodying CICAF's vision as "a festival for all people".
