In the first quarter of this year, Yiwu Highway Port saw a significant uptick in freight activity, with over 2.53 million vehicles passing through and more than 1.18 million metric tons of cargo transported, marking a robust 31 percent increase year-on-year.

Wang Jiasen, head of operations at Sanzhi Logistics booth, noted that this year has seen the addition of direct routes to Wuhan and Fujian, as well as optimizations to routes serving Linyi, Shantou, and Hefei. In March alone, Sanzhi Logistics booth dispatched an average of 17 to 19 trucks per day, with a freight volume of around 11,200 tons, marking a substantial 273.3 percent increase compared to the previous month.

Yiwu Daxiang Freight Forwarding Company has also expanded into new routes, including a "door-to-door" route from Yiwu to Vietnam, providing customs clearance and other supporting services. Trucks departing from Yiwu pass through the Guangxi Dongxing Port for customs clearance, reaching Vietnam within approximately two to three days. Currently, this route operates five to six trucks per week, mainly transporting small commodities and toys for export from Yiwu.

Covering approximately 744 mu (49.6 hectares), Yiwu Highway Port serves as a flagship project for Yiwu's logistics, promoting the integrated development of modern comprehensive logistics parks.
