A special "Chinese New Year's Eve dinner," was held in Xinchang county, Shaoxing, on Feb 7.
In the morning, officer Liang Xiaoli from the county police department's exit and entry office rushed to a farmers' market to buy ingredients.
Today marked a significant occasion, as it was the day she and foreign experts like Nasya had agreed upon for their Chinese New Year's Eve dinner.
"During my previous visits, I learned that Nasya and her family would be staying in Xinchang during the Spring Festival. I wanted to give them a taste of Chinese New Year and let them experience Chinese customs," said Liang.
Inside the cozy home, they pasted Spring Festival couplets, exchanged blessings, and savored specialty snacks. Liang taught Nasya and her family how to make dumplings, while also providing detailed explanations of traditional Chinese customs such as eating dumplings during the Spring Festival.
Liang also sought opinions and suggestions from them regarding the management and services for foreigners, allowing her foreign friends to genuinely feel the warmth and friendliness of Xinchang.
