Shaoxing delegation visits UAE, Switzerland, and Singapore

Shaoxing Mayor Shi Huifang led an economic and trade delegation to the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, and Singapore from July 1 to 7.
The visit encompassed a series of activities, including on-site visits to enterprises and the organization of economic and trade promotion conferences, all designed to attract investment and facilitate cooperation.
Highlighting the importance of the trip, the Shaoxing 2023 UAE Economic and Trade Promotion Conference was held in Dubai on July 2. The event showcased the unique characteristics of Shaoxing, its favorable investment environment, and promising development prospects.
During the conference, Shi highlighted the integration of Shaoxing into the Belt and Road Initiative in recent years. He emphasized the city's support for local businesses looking to engage in global industrial collaboration, which has yielded fruitful outcomes with the UAE.
Capitalizing on the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, Shi pledged to seize emerging opportunities and encourage Shaoxing enterprises to venture into international markets, thereby integrating into the broader global economic cycle.
On July 5, Shi visited the International Textile Manufacturers Federation in Zurich, Switzerland. The purpose of the visit was to discuss preparations for the hosting of the ITMF Annual Conference, scheduled to take place in Shaoxing in 2023.
Shi emphasized the city's commitment to advancing intelligent equipment, fostering high-end fabric production, championing eco-friendly dyeing and printing practices, and nurturing clothing brands.
The Shaoxing-Singapore Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference was held in Singapore on July 7. Shi highlighted the immense potential for mutually beneficial collaboration and invited individuals from Singapore to visit Shaoxing.
