The opening ceremony of the second Xiaoge Festival (Zhejiang) was held in Hangzhou on June 25.

During the ceremony, the Xiaoge Festival unveiled the first Xiaoge Hub in Shangcheng district, Hangzhou, providing a place for delivery drivers, food delivery drivers, and ride-hailing drivers to rest, recharge, and eat. An online Xiaoge Hub section was launched to provide comprehensive information on policies and services for the workers.

Currently, there are around 84 million people engaged in new forms of employment such as food delivery, courier services, and ride-hailing. Such workers are affectionately referred to as Xiaoge. In Hangzhou alone, there are 250,000 of them.

Zhejiang launched the inaugural Xiaoge Festival last year to create a more innovative, engaging, and inclusive platform for delivery drivers. It aimed to bring them closer and foster a sense of community.
