Lishui, Brazil negotiate closer commercial ties
The Lishui-Brazil Economic and Trade Negotiation Conference – co-hosted by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province and the Qingtian overseas Chinese Association in Brazil – was held recently in the city of Sao Paulo, the financial center of the South American country.
The event aimed at expanding international commerce between the two parties.
At the conference, representatives from overseas Chinese and enterprises learned about Lishui's industrial development and its future prospects and signed sales orders, while the chamber of commerce inked strategic cooperation agreements.
Brazilian Chinese Association Chairman Ye Zhouyong said that the Chinese community in the country believed that the conference would advance commerce and trade cooperation between China and Brazil.
The delegation also visited the Maua city government in Sao Paulo State, with mayor Marcelo Oliveira receiving the visitors.
The two sides agreed to carry out more extensive cooperation and exchanges in culture, education, tourism and in other fields – to jointly increase bilateral relations and expand the sustainable development of friendly relations between their nations.
