Lishui opens water-saving education center

Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province opened its first water-saving education center on March 22, coinciding with the 31st World Water Day and the first day of the 36th China Water Week.

The education center, located in the main urban area of Lishui, covers an area of about 2,000 square meters. As a public welfare venue, it is open free to the public.

The center focuses on water conservation and showcases water-saving know-how and actions, the local water situation, the development of local water conservation and explores the water resources crisis.

The center integrates publicity, science popularization, entertainment and interactive experiences. It has four physical interactive exhibits, 11 multimedia exhibits, as well as one immersive experience space and teaching space.

World Water Day is an annual UN observance day that highlights the importance of fresh water. The day is used to advocate the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
