This is the second Hyland porcelain exhibition to be held in China. But this is the first time that silk paintings and Hyland porcelain have been on display together, said Szilárd Bolla, Consul General of the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai.

The exhibition will run until Dec 30.

The silk paintings on display are Chinese cultural treasures with a history of more than 3,000 years. Mu Yilin is the representative inheritor of silk paintings in China.

In 2020, Xincheng town introduced the Muyilin Silk Painting Art Gallery to establish a silk painting inheritance and development base and creatively integrated silk paintings with Xincheng Luodong children's paintings.

Hyland porcelain originated in Europe and is famous for its excellent quality and exquisite decoration.

The joint exhibition witnessed a beautiful interaction between silk paintings and porcelain. "We can see not only the preservation and development of historical culture, but also the collision of Chinese and Western cultures", said Weng Songgang, Party chief of Xincheng town.
