Zhoushan delegates to the 15th CPC Zhejiang Provincial Congress, which began in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang, on June 20-22, said they are inspired by Zhejiang's achievements over the past five years and motivated by its future goals.

Yuan Jiajun, secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, delivered a report to the congress, saying that the province's annual GDP is expected to reach 12 trillion yuan ($1.79 trillion), and per capita GDP is expected to hit 170,000 yuan over the next five years.

Zhang Lu, senior engineer at Zhejiang Petroleum and Chemical Co Ltd, said that she was impressed by the measures to promote scientific innovation.

With the competitive petrochemical market in China, it is necessary to create the best possible petrochemical industrial chain and offer high-quality products, noted Zhang.

She also promised to work diligently to contribute to the development of a province with a strong scientific capacity.

Developing a province with complete transportation infrastructure as mentioned in the report excited Zhang Wei, deputy secretary of the Party group of the Zhoushan Bridge Construction and Management Center.

Zhang said that Zhoushan authorities have attached importance to the construction of transportation infrastructure in the city and many relevant projects are currently being built.
