Twenty-seven enterprises in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province recently made the list of "little giant" enterprises released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The city is ranked second in China, only behind Beijing, in terms of the number of companies that made the list.

"Little giant" enterprises are outstanding high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises with high growth potential, advanced technology, and strong market competitiveness.

Ningbo aims to have 600 such companies by the end of 2025.

As of April 22, the MIIT had designated 4,762 enterprises as national "little giant" enterprises, of which 182 were from Ningbo, which was ranked third in the nation in this regard, only behind Beijing and Shanghai.
