The International Forum for China Financial Inclusion (IFCFI) 2021 was held in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Dec 16.

The forum was attended by government officials, experts, scholars and business executives who discussed ways to facilitate economic development and achieve common prosperity through the establishment of an inclusive financial ecosystem.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Bei Duoguang, president of the Chinese Academy of Financial Inclusion (CAFI), and attended by guests including Zhu Congjiu, vice governor of Zhejiang, Liu Guiping, deputy governor of the People's Bank of China, Wang Wei, vice president of Bank of China and Wu Xiaoqiu, former vice president of Renmin University of China and co-chairman of CAFI.

A report on the development of China's inclusive financing scene in 2021 was also released during the forum.

In 2019, Taizhou was officially designated a national pilot zone for the comprehensive reform of financial services for private enterprises and small and micro-sized businesses.

The city has launched a platform for banks to evaluate the credibility of companies applying for loans. The platform had accumulated 408 million pieces of credit information on more than 690,000 market entities in the city as of 2020.
