I role played Wang Xifeng in Hengdian
From June 5th to June 7th, I was invited by Hangzhoufeel to attend "Daka China" global communication event, or the "Belt and Road · Gold Hub" online international communication event. The event was held in a unique way to convey the cultural vitality of Zhejiang. It has been one of my most unforgettable trips in China.
On June 5th, I arrived in Hengdian, together with some friends from different cities. On that evening we put on the beautiful traditional Chinese dresses and went for a stroll, after that we were entertained by an amazing water show .
On the second day, which I liked the most, we visited the Hengdian World Studios, which is hailed as the largest film and television shooting base in China. As far as I know, some people call it Chinese or Asian Hollywood. Hengdian is just a wonderful place, giving you a feeling that you travel back to an old time with all details, with typical Chinese traditional architecture, people walking around in traditional dresses, etc. For ancient culture lovers this is a must-go place.
Later on, I participated in the filming of a micro film A Dream of Red Mansions, which is one of the four great novels in China, written by Cao Xueqin. I role played Wang Xifeng, a character known for her great capability and her straightforwardness. I dressed like her and was given some simple lines in Chinese. At that moment I looked like a real Chinese aristocrat in old time! It was the first time in my life that I took part in a micro film shooting and also the first time I wore such a gorgeous traditional Chinese dress-- no other dresses I had could compare with this one. I did not want to leave Hengdian at all!
On the third day we arrived in Yiwu, visited an ancient town called Fotang Town and Yiwu International Trade City, where I was so thrilled to find some products from my homeland -- Georgian wine and brandy. As it's known to all, my country Georgia is the cradle of wine and we have 8,000 years history of making wine. What was unexpected yet exciting was that after receiving some training for live streaming, we even tried to promote some products, which was indeed not easy!
