The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism hosted a culture promotion activity targeting potential tourists from Japan at the Skymall in Shanghai Sept 20.

Japanese expats enjoyed an extravaganza featuring Zhejiang's traditional culture, including tea, wine, bowl music, Yueju Opera, Hangzhou embroidery, celadon pottery, sculpture, paper-cuttings, folding fans and gardening on site.

Among the attendees were Xu Peng, deputy director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Cheng Meihong, deputy director of the Shanghai Administration of Culture and Tourism, and managers of the Chinese branches of well-known Japanese international travel companies such as JTB and HIS.

In recent years, Zhejiang has been developing into an all-for-one tourism demonstration zone, promoting both its natural beauty and cultural riches. Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Zhejiang authorities are determined to resume tourism against all odds.
