Yiwugo.com, the official English website of the world's largest commodity market in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province, will begin sharing information about providers and commodities with Nigerian purchasers, local media reported on Aug 31.

According to an agreement between yiwugo.com and the Association for Africa-China Cooperation, the e-commerce website will work with the association's digital trade platform to offer localized services to buyers in Nigeria.

In 2019, the total value of trade between China and Nigeria was valued at $19.27 billion, up 26.3 percent year on year. Yiwugo.com's move is meant to cut the number of middle parties and increase the transparency of each purchase.

Yiwu exports small commodities to 219 countries and regions and is currently developing a digital cross-border trade system in response to difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To date, yiwugo.com has signed similar cooperation deals with over 10 countries, including Russia, Canada, Brazil, and Iran.
