Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics holds 3rd China-Kazakhstan forum
Fan Xiaoling, dean of the School of International Education of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, delivered a report entitled "Strategic Research on the Development of Chinese Enterprises in Kazakhstan in the Post-Pandemic Era". She detailed the eight bottlenecks in financing difficulties, foreign exchange restrictions, visa restrictions, and the shortage of skilled workers encountered in the development of Kazakh-Chinese enterprises. She said that it should be resolved through policy support, financing support, simplifying customs clearance procedures, and accelerating the training of urgently needed professionals to strengthen China-Kazakhstan cooperation.
Professor Yu Muhong, director of the Kazakhstan Center of ZUFE, elaborated on the prospects of international production cooperation, the promotion of tea culture, and the "City Brain". He said that ZUFE is strong in big data and artificial intelligence, and can provide excellent intellectual support for China-Kazakhstan digital economic cooperation.
In addition, Professor Lu Shanbing, dean of the Silk Road Research Institute of Northwest University, proposed advocating for peaceful and tolerant religions, combating extremism, and more. Duan Xinlan, general manager of Xinjiang Sambo Group Service Company discussed the company’s efforts to organize the China-Kazakhstan Trade Fair and help foreign students start businesses and elaborated on Kazakhstan’s new trend of developing digital technology and diversifying its economy. Guan Chunlin, associate professor and deputy director of the library of ZUFE, elaborated on Sino-Kazakh language cooperation. Pu Zhijiang, chairman of Zhejiang International E-commerce Holdings Co, said that the pandemic has impacted the economy, but crisis and opportunity coexist, and digital foreign trade will be the direction of future development. Zhang Wanting, associate professor from Northwestern University, said he looks forward to economic cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in the post-pandemic era, and proposed pursuing the development of a "healthy Silk Road" and “Digital Silk Road”.
This forum is the third China-Kazakhstan Economic and Social Research Forum hosted by ZUFE. It encouraged experts and relevant departments from the two countries to continue focusing on controlling the pandemic and working toward the economic and social development of both countries in order to help build the Silk Road Economic Belt and a community with a shared future for mankind.
Attendants included experts and scholars from the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Kazakhstan Astana International Academy of Sciences, Kazakhstan Eurasian University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Lanzhou University, Northwest University, Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, and more than 10 universities and leaders from the Astana International Financial Center, Kazakhstan YouChina Company, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, International Judicial Cooperation Base of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization , China National Translation Bureau, Central University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Beijing University of Foreign Studies and nearly 1,000 guests and business leaders from Zhejiang International E-commerce Holdings Co. Ltd., Zhejiang People's Publishing Press, Zhejiang Jiaotong Group International Co, and the Xinjiang Central Asia Research Center.
