Forum in Nanxun to boost ancient town tourism

A forum discussing the development of tourism in China's ancient towns was held on Oct 19 in Nanxun district, Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

Over 100 experts and leaders in the tourism industry attended the three-day forum, discussing the innovative development of tourism in ancient towns.

The district signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing International Studies University, and the two sides jointly launched a culture and tourism research workshop.

Experts in the tourism industry and from the university made several keynote speeches analyzing inbound tourism data, urban tourism, and the integration of culture and tourism, among other things.

There were several meetings discussing different aspects of ancient town tourism, including the night-time economy in ancient towns.

In recent years, Nanxun district, famous for its beautiful ancient town, has been dedicated to integrating culture and tourism in order to boost the tourism industry in the town.
