The second session of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress drew to an end on Jan 31 with a series of work reports, plans and budgets approved.

The congress is Zhejiang's top legislative body. Over the course of the five days, deputies from around the province were briefed on the 2018 work report of the provincial government, the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress, the Zhejiang Provincial Higher People's Court, and the Provincial People's Procuratorate of Zhejiang. They also passed the development budget for 2019.

Ren Zhenhe was elected as the director of the Zhejiang Provincial Supervisory Committee at the session.

Che Jun, Party secretary of Zhejiang, urged all parties to strive for better performances in the province's governmental developments over the following year, which marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
