Wenzhou in East China's Zhejiang province launched a Chinese media outlet in Spain on Jan 12.

In recent years, Wenzhou has launched overseas media organizations with the help of over 688,900 Wenzhou people working and living in 131 countries and regions. Overseas Release (Haiwai Fabu) is the 45th Chinese media organization the city has established outside China and is aimed at better telling Chinese stories on the global stage.

By virtue of the strength of overseas Chinese and foreign people, Wenzhou has founded a base for international exchanges, consisting of three main function centers, for global communications, cultural exchanges and cross-border services respectively.

Meanwhile, a strong and professional team with nearly 200 overseas Chinese leaders and 12 foreigners has been built for the international promotion of Wenzhou stories and better connections between the city and the outside world.

IL Tempo CINA Europa, one of the largest Chinese media outlets in Europe, is wholly-owned by the Wenzhou Daily Media Group and has set up branches in 13 countries.

In recent years, the city has also rolled out a series of TV dramas which reflect China's development since the reform and opening-up in foreign countries including France, South Korea and Panama.
