Tianneng Group, a Zhejiang-based leading enterprise in China's new energy battery industry, unveiled an academician workstation in September 2010. Its partnership with Chen Hongyuan, a member of CAS, boosted the successful development of upgraded lead-acid cell products.

Over the past eight years, the company has conducted cooperation with professionals on 31 projects and has commercialized 14 research findings, according to Guo Zhigang, executive vice director of Tianneng's research institute.

Standing at a new starting point, Zhejiang announced the plan to upgrade the project of academician workstations by building "homes of academicians" at the anniversary meeting.

The new project is aimed at attracting more academicians with greater efforts and stronger support in policies. From 2019, the "homes of academicians", with a focus on the leading and emerging industries in Zhejiang cities, will further promote the efficient integration of high-caliber talents and other production factors in the hope of boosting industrial upgrading and quality development of economy.
