Over 10,000 kinds of fabrics from China Textile City in Keqiao district, Shaoxing were on display at Magic Show, a fashion trade fair in Las Vegas, the United States from Aug 13 to 15.

This year, a dozen of companies from the district showcased a myriad of high-end fabrics at the event, which enjoyed great popularity among purchasers from around the globe. On the first day, the China Textile City, occupying an exhibition area of 180 square meters, received over 3,000 foreign visitors.

Magic Show, founded in 1933, is one of the most influential fashion exhibitions and trade fairs in the world. Every year, textile companies in Keqiao team up to promote their products at the event, an official from Keqiao's commerce department said.

He also said Keqiao's participation in the event is an effective approach to promote the opening-up and globalization of the local textile industry.
