An ethnic dance show given by a group of folk dancers from Zhejiang province proved a hit at folk festivals in Serbia and Bulgaria, which were held from July 14 to 30.

The festivals, which lasted half a month, attracted groups from a total of eight countries, including China, Mexico, Bolivia, Greece, Georgia, Serbia and Bulgaria.

Dressed in folk costumes, the Zhejiang performers staged classic dances featuring the folk culture of She people, an ethnic minority in Zhejiang province, demonstrating unique ethnic features and traditional Chinese cultural elements to the local communities.

The dance performance is one of the art projects supported by the China National Arts Fund.
