Dozens of international students and teachers visited Suichang, a county in Lishui City, Zhejiang province, July 22.

The group comprised 50 students and teachers from the Confucius Institute at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, and expatriate students from Zhejiang A&F University.

During their two-day visit, the group learned traditional face painting, She ethnic ribbon weaving, Chinese operas and calligraphy.

The group also visited local scenic spots like Thousand Buddha Mountain, Wangcunkou town, which is renowned for its many red tourism spots, and the  memorial of the famous Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) playwright Tang Xianzu.

Red tourism spots are places with significance to the history of the Communist Party of China.

The international visitors were impressed by Suichang's beautiful scenery, which emboldened many to commit to learning more about Chinese language and culture.

In recent years, Suichang has helped many foreign teenagers experience the unique charms of traditional Chinese culture as reflected in clothing, food, lifestyle and transportation through the hosting of activities that promote its brilliant local culture to the rest of the world.
