Zhejiang University and Stanford start academic exchanges week

Zhejiang University(ZJU) held a launch ceremony for its academic exchange week with Stanford University at its Zijin'gang Campus in Hangzhou on June 13.
Wu Zhaohui, president of ZJU, met with Michael Levitt, the Stanford professor and Nobel laureate, during the ceremony.
Wu said that Stanford is the benchmark for innovation among universities and the two schools have cooperated in areas including medicine, innovation and startups. He added that he was looking forward to advancing ZJU's practical cooperation with Stanford.
Levitt affirmed that he was delighted to be helpful in strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.
The official nameplate for the new Zhejiang University-Stanford University Collaborative Laboratory for Health was also unveiled by Song Yonghua, the executive vice president of ZJU, and Ann Hsing of Stanford's Institute of Cancer Research at the ceremony.
