During the G20 Hangzhou summit, 3D light shows in Wulin Square, themed light shows in Qianjiang New Town and themed lighting projects on the north bank of Qianjiang, amazed visitors and provided a visual spectacle for all who saw them. Whether these shows will continue to run after the summit has become a major concern for local residents and tourists.

It's known that 3D light shows in Wulin Square will still be staged while themed light shows in Qianjiang New Town are in the process of adjustment and improvement. The opening times and length of the shows are still to be decided.

After the summit, the music fountain shows in Wulin Square will still be performed twice a day, starting at 19:30 and 20:30 respectively. Each show will last for around 30 minutes. At 20:00, people can enjoy a 3D light show without wearing 3D glasses. On Friday and Saturday nights, an extra music fountain show may be arranged at around 21:00 if there is public demand for it.

The music fountain show at the West Lake will be staged as scheduled, at 19:00 and 20:00, according to the Management Committee of the West Lake Scenic Area.

The new version of the Impression of West Lake is going to involve new performances and have a new performance stage. Both classic and modern elements will be blended into the new show on the basis of the old edition, and the G20 Summit evening gala. The newly-revised show is expected to commence in October.

The themed light show in Qianjiang New Town is going to be upgraded in terms of contents and procedures, but the opening time and duration of performances currently remains undecided, according to an official of the management committee of Qianjiang New Town.

The lighting project alongside the Grand Canal is large in scale, with a length of 22 kilometers, running along both sides. The lighting hours are now 18:00 to 22:30, and are expected to be adjusted during the next phase.

The core area of the West Lake is currently lit up to show a traditional Chinese painting. Three islands reflect four seasons on the lake by being illuminated in different colors. Lighting around West Lake is dependent on the weather.

"Lights along the bank will be turned on when it gets dark, but the landscape lamps on islands remain undecided," said an official from the lighting center.
