Automobile manufacturing industry

Weifang focuses on commercial vehicle manufacturing and is gradually transitioning towards new energy vehicles. It has become Asia's largest economy-oriented commercial vehicle production base and China's largest light vehicle production base. It is home to four complete vehicle enterprises, namely BAIC Foton (Zhucheng Automobile Factory), BAIC Foton (Shandong Multifunctional Automobile Factory), Jianghuai Automobile (Shandong Branch), and Shandong Kaima Automobile. There are 206 enterprises each with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.81 million) or above in the industry.
