In 2023, Weifang's GDP and general public budget revenue reached 760.6 billion yuan ($107.19 billion) and 60.83 billion yuan, ranking 35th and 32nd among China's large and medium-sized cities, respectively. The total retail sales of consumer goods hit 293.61 billion yuan. Weifang's gross output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fisheries climbed to 128.92 billion yuan, ranking 1st in Shandong province.

As of 2023, Weifang had 3,920 industrial enterprises each with annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more. The output value and revenue of these enterprises exceeded 1.17 trillion yuan and 1.18 trillion yuan, respectively, making Weifang the second city in the province to see the output value and revenue of its enterprises exceed 1.1 trillion yuan. Last year, the city's import-export volume totaled 340.31 billion yuan, ranking 3rd in the province.
