Weifang is the first city in China to offer free parking at public medical institutions. The city is home to 8,793 medical institutions with 68,000 medical beds, 17 colleges and universities, 33 secondary vocational colleges, 68 senior high schools, 303 junior high schools and 617 primary schools.

The city contains several highly-developed cultural venues, including two 5A-level tourist attractions, 23 4A-level tourist attractions and 95 A-level tourist attractions.
