It currently governs five sub-districts, two service centers, and a provincial high-tech industrial park, with a resident population of 378,000. It boasts beautiful surroundings with the Weiwen and Bailang rivers flowing through the area, and the Yuhe, Baisha, Fengxiang, and Zhangmian rivers running through the urban space.
The district also enjoys a superior location. High-speed rails, railways, and expressways pass through the area, with national and provincial highways crisscrossing the district. It is located just 3 kilometers from the Weifang Airport, and is only a 1-hour and 1.5-hour drive from airports in Qingdao and Jinan, respectively. Its three major industries — intelligent equipment, new materials, and prepared dishes — have achieved a combined output value exceeding 28 billion yuan ($3.92 billion).
