Weifang Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone

The Weifang Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone was established in 1991 and was designated as a national-level zone in 1992. It covers an area of 123 square kilometers with a population of 418,000. In recent years, it has adhered to a strategy of innovation-driven development, focusing on the development of high-tech industries.

The zone has been successively recognized as a national innovative science and technology park, a national-level green park, a national intellectual property demonstration park, and a national patent navigation industry development experimental zone. It ranks 23rd among 177 national high-tech zones nationwide, 4th among 160 development zones at the provincial level or above, and 2nd among high-tech zones in the province.
