Journalists from South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia and Japan visited Shandong Rutao Crafts Co Ltd in Sishui county, Jining on Nov 29.

During the trip, the journalists learned about the artistry of Rutao pottery production and got to admire the ceramic water purifiers, pottery tea sets, wine utensils, mudstone inksticks, colored pottery vases and carved pottery bottles made by Shandong Rutao Crafts Co Ltd.

The company's high-temperature pottery and fine processing techniques have brought innovation to the historical practice of low-temperature pottery and rough processing in the town where the company is located. The ceramic water purifiers produced using the company's innovative techniques have been given national recognition due to their effective filtering and adsorption functions.

Shandong Rutao Crafts Co Ltd produces nearly 500 types of ceramics, including colored pottery vases, carved pottery bottles, tea sets and wine utensils. The company uses traditional pottery-making techniques and high-quality clay from five-colored soil as raw materials.

"Each step in the process is carefully monitored, ensuring a high level of quality control. From clay selection to firing, every individual involved takes responsibility of their specific task. Any products that do not meet the required standards are not passed on to the next stage. Each step has a clearly defined division of labor, creating a closed-loop system," said You Yue, the inheritor of Rutao pottery-making techniques.
