Jining in East China's Shandong province is currently building a new materials production base in an effort to develop its new materials industry.

Located in Jining National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the production base is one of the city's major projects. It will include a group of standard and customized factory buildings, as well as other facilities like offices and laboratories to accommodate companies involved in sectors such as the third generation of semiconductor materials, macromolecular materials, and advanced carbon materials.

The production base plans to bring in 15 companies this year, which are estimated to generate 5 billion yuan ($765.15 million) in output. By 2025, a total of 100 enterprises are expected to move in, generating an output of 20 billion yuan.
