Looking back on the journey, 2025 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and the 47th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up. To honor these milestones, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) has compiled and published SCIA: Then And Now. This book documents the innovative development of China's international arbitration in the Shenzhen SEZ amid the reform and opening-up drive, serving as a companion volume to My Story with SCIA — a work SCIA released via Peking University Press in 2020 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Shenzhen SEZ.

As we look ahead to 2026, SCIA offers this book as a tribute to mark the New Year, featuring 848 precious archival photographs and 44 exquisite illustrations by artist Xiao Lin (Lin Dihuan). May you have a wonderful and prosperous new year!
