On 15 October 2025, the 138th Canton Fair opened as scheduled. This session set new historical records with an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, 74,600 booths, and over 32,000 exhibiting enterprises. Approximately 3,600 enterprises made their debut.
As the sole designated international arbitration institution pursuant to the Rules for the Prevention and Resolution of Trade Dispute in China Import and Export Fair approved by the Ministry of Commerce, the SCIA began stationing at the Canton Fair Complaint Station starting from the 102nd session in 2007. For the past 19 years, SCIA has utilized the innovative Chinese approach of "mediation + arbitration + exhibition self-regulation" to resolve international trade and intellectual property disputes efficiently, professionally, and harmoniously.
Through methods combining "online + offline" and "mediation + arbitration" services at the Canton Fair Complaint Station, SCIA provides harmonious, efficient and low-cost dispute resolution services for global exhibitors and buyers. To date, SCIA has assisted the Canton Fair in handling over 1,400 international trade dispute cases, with mediation cases covering 123 countries and regions. Furthermore, SCIA has jointly launched several model contracts with the Canton Fair, including the International Sales Contract, to help Chinese and international trading parties standardize transactions, prevent risks, and resolve disputes.
