The “Two-City Dual Qualification” Tribunal Secretary Training Program, jointly organized by the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) and the South China International Arbitration Center (HK) (SCIAHK), took place in Shenzhen, Hong Kong SAR, and Jiangmen from 15 to 18 Dec 2024.
Thirty-seven participants from home and abroad attended the program.
Kwai Huen Wong, Council Member of the SCIA and Executive Chairman of the SCIAHK interacted with the participants.
The training included sessions on international arbitration systems, tribunal secretary responsibilities, and procedural order drafting. It received support from Hong Kong government bodies and legal associations.
Anthony Neoh, Vice Chairman of the SCIA Council, Chairman of the Board of the SCIAHK delivered the opening speech and lectured on “International Arbitration System and Enforcement of Arbitration Rulings.
Barrister Barbara Wong lectured on "Key Responsibilities of Arbitration Tribunal Secretaries in International Arbitration" and "Important Considerations for Arbitration Tribunal Secretaries".
Barrister Adela Mao lectured on "Drafting Procedural Order No.1".

The bilingual course offered dual certification from SCIA and SCIAHK, enabling participants to serve as tribunal secretaries in cases handled by both institutions.
Meng Wei, Senior Legal Counsel of SCIA Research Department lectured on "Arbitration Procedure Management from the Perspective of Judicial Review".
Liu Xinqi, Senior Legal Counsel from China (Shenzhen) Securities and Futures Arbitration Center lectured on "Arbitration Tribunal Secretary’s Duties and Key Considerations".
