United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL)

The UNCITRAL (established in 1966) is a subsidiary body of the General Assembly of the United Nations with the general mandate to further the progressive harmonization and unification of the law of international trade. UNCITRAL has since prepared a wide range of conventions, model laws and other instruments dealing with the substantive law that governs trade transactions or other aspects of business law which have an impact on international trade.

In 2018, UNCITRAL and SCIA co-hosted the first global event in Shenzhen to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the New York Convention.

In 2018, at the invitation of UNCITRAL, SCIA delegation attended the New York Convention's 60th Anniversary Conference held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

SCIA becomes an observer in UNCITRAL Working Groups II and IV and an on-site observer in Working Group III.
