China International Arbitration Institute

The China International Arbitration Institute was jointly established by the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (hereinafter referred to as the "SCIA") and Peking University Law School in December 2016. It aims to integrate high-quality resources to promote the interaction between theoretical research and practical application in the field of international arbitration, enhancing the overall level of international arbitration in China.

The institute is committed to the following tasks:

1. Strengthening research on the legal system and latest developments of international arbitration.

2. Cultivating practitioners who have a global vision and are familiar with international arbitration rules, enhancing the internationalization of arbitration in China.

3. Promoting exchanges and cooperation with international organizations and arbitration institutions, participating in the formulation of international arbitration rules, international mediation and international commercial legal rules.

The institute is also responsible for compiling the serial and professional publication China International Arbitration Review, hosted by the SCIA and Peking University Law School. It researches complex and crucial hot-spot issues in arbitration from a global perspective, promoting innovation and implementation of arbitration in China and advancing the development and improvement of international arbitration.
