On February 28, 2023, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Third Council of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) and 2023 Arbitrators Spring Reception was held at the SCIA Tower in Qianhai, Shenzhen.
The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Liu Xiaochun, Vice Chairman of the SCIA Council and President of the SCIA. Prof. Shen Sibao, Chairman of the SCIA Council, delivered a speech on behalf of all the council members, while Anthony Neoh, SC, Vice Chairman of the SCIA Council, spoke on behalf of the overseas members.
The Third Council of the SCIA consists of 13 renowned figures from both domestic and other jurisdictions, with seven members from Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and overseas.

After the appointment ceremony, the SCIA held the 2023 Arbitrators Spring Reception. Over 100 arbitrators from domestic and abroad, along with the Council Members and staffs of the SCIA, gathered to review the 40 years of innovative journey in international arbitration in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and the reform achievements over the past decade. They also discussed the prospects of joining forces with Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR to build a globally oriented hub for international commercial arbitration.
On the same day, the first meeting of the Third Council of the SCIA was held in the International Conference Hall on the 35th floor of the SCIA Tower.
