The base draws on the research strengths of Wuhan University School of Robotics and NETDA's manufacturing advantages. It provides public pilot testing services for embodied intelligence robots, including testing of core components, complete robots and scenario-based solutions.
This initiative follows a model where research and development takes place at Wuhan University while the commercialization of research results takes place in Nantong. The goal of this model is to help turn laboratory prototypes into market-ready products and facilitate their transition into mass production.
The four projects focus on integrated joint modules for humanoid and collaborative robots, high-pressure water jet robots for industrial cleaning, photovoltaic maintenance robots, and rehabilitation exoskeleton robots for medical and elderly care.
