China-Germany Emerging Industries Park breaks ground in NETDA
A groundbreaking ceremony for the China-Germany Emerging Industries Park was held at the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) on Jan 23.
With a total land area of approximately 90 mu (6 hectares) and a total investment of 150 million yuan ($21.59 million), the project will focus on strategic emerging industries such as intelligent manufacturing, electronic information, biomedicine, and deep-sea technology, aiming to build a high-tech industrial cluster platform. It is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2026.
In the future, NETDA plans to foster greater integration between technology and industry, accelerate the development of a more competitive national first-class development zone, and make greater contributions to advancing the practice of Chinese modernization in Nantong.
