Foreign talents seek cooperation opportunities in Nantong

A cross-border enterprise projects rapid roadshow commenced on June 16 in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), where over a dozen overseas technology startups presented their projects, hoping to find cooperation opportunities in Nantong.

David Josu from the United States, who currently runs an artificial intelligence (AI)-based logistics startup, introduced his project. He said that after two on-site visits to NETDA, its robust economic development and favorable environment were clear.

Golnaz Abdolahian, who leads an AI-powered product curation solutions enterprise, shared a similar sentiment. While praising Nantong's business environment, she mentioned that Nantong's openness to international collaboration was remarkable.

Industry compatibility is another key factor valued by international talent. Canadian entrepreneur Aaron Daniel Capa, founder of an AI-driven pharmaceutical R&D company, stated that NETDA hosts world-renowned pharmaceutical companies like Merck, along with related enterprises. This indicates a high maturity level in the local biopharmaceutical industry, creating strong alignment with his company's sector.

The new technologies and projects from international sources also presented new opportunities for many Nantong enterprises. Immediately after the on-stage pitches ended, local companies engaged in discussions with the presenters offstage.

"Our company is currently exploring new market segments. Several projects presented today are very promising, offering substantial potential for future collaboration," said the head of technology R&D at a listed company based in NETDA.
