CAS academicians visit NETDA

Two academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences learned about the development of the new materials industry in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA, on June 22.

Academicians Zhu Shining, who is also a professor at the School of Physics of Nanjing University, and Ma Yuqiang visited Jiangsu Sanzer New Materials Technology Co.

After learning about Sanzer's core products, R&D team, and technological difficulties, the academicians shared their advice on innovation in industrial modes, efficient use of resources from institutes, and improvement of independent innovation capabilities.

They then toured the technological innovation center of Zhongtian Technology Group Co, whose rapid development is attributed to its involvement in high-end industrial chains and attracting high-profile talent.

ZTT Group and the guests discussed collaboration in the establishment of a research platform and the cultivation of high-caliber talent after the latter introduced the discipline construction, talent cultivation, and commercialization of research results of NJU's School of Physics.

After 40 years of development, NETDA has demonstrated strength in the new materials industry, boasting complete supporting facilities and clustering development.

Based on the new materials industry, the development area will bring in and foster a number of growth drivers of new quality productive forces.
