A pocket park in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) in East China's Jiangsu province has been listed among provincial high-quality public green spaces, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced on July 27.
Fifty pocket parks in the province made the list.
The pocket park was built in 2022 and is equipped with amenities for different age groups. It also serves as a public venue for promoting the area's traditional techniques such as blue calico and woodblock prints.
The park is one of the efforts by NETDA authorities to create more public green spaces and improve people's wellbeing made over the past few years, allowing residents to take a rest, conduct social contact and take exercise.
Authorities will continue efforts to build and renovate more such parks this year to drive the area's high-quality development.
