NETDA pushes efforts in talent attraction

The Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area, or NETDA, located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province, recently released its latest policy on advancing the development of scientific and technological innovation talent.

According to the policy, Nobel laureates, academicians, and other top talent from the country and abroad who decide to set up a business in the NETDA will be given a start-up subsidy up to 100 million yuan ($15.79 million).

The policy encourages enterprises in the NETDA to introduce high-level scientific and technological innovation talent by giving the enterprise a maximum salary subsidy of 1.5 million yuan for three years.

The NETDA will also deepen the development of major innovation platforms and increase support for the development of carriers for entrepreneurship and innovation.

According to the latest policy, recognized national and provincial science and technology business incubators and accelerators will receive a 2-million-yuan and 1.5-million-yuan fund respectively.
