Leading cookware manufacturer settles in NETDA

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Linkfair (Nantong) Intelligent Manufacturing East China Headquarters Base took place on Oct 25 at the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area or NETDA – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – according to local media reports.
On completion, it will serve to demonstrate intelligent manufacturing of kitchen cookware – and will also reportedly be a manufacturing plant with the highest degree of automation and the most advanced production processes in the industry in China. Moreover, it is expected to be a calling card for advanced manufacturing in the development zone.
The facility will cost 2 billion yuan ($313 million) and occupy a site covering 128,000 square meters of land, with the buildings having a total floor space of 210,000 sq m.
The plant will deploy more than 1,000 industrial robots, helping to produce five million small intelligent household appliances and 28 million high-end kitchen appliances annually.
Guangdong-based Linkfair Household Co Ltd is a listed company established in 2014 and part of the Linkfair Group Co Ltd.
The Linkfair Group manufactures kitchenware such as high-end stainless steel tableware, aluminum tableware, baking utensils and small household appliances – among other things – and integrates R&D, design, manufacturing, sales and service.
