In focus: NETDA moves to recruit more people
The Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area or NETDA – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently moved to recruit more people, holding a seminar to promote its scientific and technological policies for talent and to get feedback on various aspects, according to local media reports on Oct 23.
In recent years, the development zone has prioritized recruiting and scientific and technological innovation. By the end of last year, the district had brought in nearly 3,000 top-flight innovative and entrepreneurial people in 2020 and 95 national top talented professionals, with the number of invention patents per 10,000 people remaining the highest in Nantong.
In addition, 42 talent projects related to biomedicines, engineering and architecture, electronics information and new energy, have reportedly been yielding great results.
From January to September this year, 165 new high-tech enterprises in the development zone were announced they were locating in the zone while two new State-level "little giant" enterprises were added, ranking it second in Nantong.
