The Nantong Science and Technology Finance and Industrial Innovation Matchmaking Conference took place in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on Dec 8.
Experts, scholars, investment elites, senior executives of listed companies, and top analysts gathered in the city to engage in in-depth dialogues and exchanges, discussing how to leverage finance to drive technological innovation and promote industrial upgrading through technological innovation.
Zhang Tong, mayor of Nantong, stated that in recent years, the city has actively promoted the integrated development of sci-tech, finance, and industry. Currently, the city is accelerating its transformation into a modern industrial city focusing on cutting-edge technologies, a higher-level national innovative city, a modern marine city, and a national comprehensive transportation hub city.
All of these efforts will provide more opportunities and create greater space for various entities in the fields of technology, industry, and finance to develop in the city, Zhang noted.
Ye Guobiao, president of Shanghai Securities News, said that Nantong possesses unique geographical advantages and resources, combining historical and cultural significance as well as serving as a hub for technological industries. It is not only vibrant and charming but also possesses immense potential.
Guests, including Dong Jisheng, chairman of Orient International, and Liu Yuanrun, chairman of Changjiang Securities International, delivered keynote speeches during the event. Yang Wenshan, president of Koal Software, Hou Yubo, chairman of Baoteng Biotechnology, and other guests explored integration of industrial and innovation chains and discussed global asset allocation.
On the same day, the sixth Shanghai Stock Exchange Best Analyst Award Ceremony was also held, with 32 awards presented on-site, including three institutional awards and 29 individual and industry awards.
