Members of BRI training course visit Nantong

Members of the training course on macroeconomic management ability for countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative visited Nantong, Jiangsu province, on Aug 9.

The members learned about the city's economic achievements and discussed topics such as the integrated development between universities and local government with experts from Nantong University.

They expressed curiosity about Nantong's economic development pattern and asked numerous questions about it. Several members were interested in fostering economic and trade relations with the Chinese city.

Nantong University collaborates with local enterprises to facilitate student internships. Gozi Chidinma from Nigeria inquired about the enrollment process for students from developing countries at Nantong University.

Ichrak from Tunisia said that she expects to learn about the cooperation between Nantong University and local enterprises and how to assist students taking an internship.

The training course is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, and 31 members of the course are from Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. They are currently undertaking a tour of Nantong as part of the program.
