Nantong photographer boasts collection of hundreds of Olympic memorabilia

Gu Jun, a photographer in Nantong, Jiangsu province, has gathered over 100 Olympic memorabilia items to date.

At his studio stand display cabinets containing Olympic items such as stamps and mascots that Gu has collected over the years.

"I was thrilled seeing Hai'an-born sabre fencer Zhong Man secure a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. It was then that I aspired to begin collecting Olympic souvenirs," Gu explained.

The photographer has also recorded with his lens the appearance of the Hai'an flower drum dance at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games, Zhong Man's return home, and other memorable Olympic moments that have been added to his collection.

Speaking of this year's Paris Olympic Games, Gu said that he has collected two sets of commemorative coins highlighting the Olympic emblem, mascot, and events.
