The 14th China Nantong Jianghai Talent Entrepreneurship Week opened at the Nantong International Convention and Exhibition Center on July 12.

The event was attended by academicians from home and abroad, professors and experts from key universities and research institutes, representatives from well-known enterprises, and other talents.

Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, saying that Nantong prioritizes high-quality development and always regards talents as the primary resource and innovation as the driving force.

Nantong respects and cherishes talents, willing to help every individual with dreams to unleash their potential, and welcomes all to bring their creative ideas, latest research results, and innovation projects to the city, noted Wu.

Zhang Tong, mayor of Nantong, introduced the city's innovative entrepreneurial environment, saying that Nantong is a city with enormous potential, a solid industrial foundation, and abundant financial resources. By making the most of its advantages, Nantong is accelerating the development of new quality productive forces.

Ji Zhenhua, deputy director of the Organization Department of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, stressed that Nantong, a significant contributor to the province's high-quality development, has explored unique methods to cultivate talents in Jiangsu.

He also expressed hope that the city will attract more talents at home and abroad to become a hub of talents in the northern area of the Yangtze River Delta.

At the opening ceremony, Nantong distributed subsidies to the key projects of the 2024 Jianghai Talent Entrepreneurship Competition.

Over the following days, lectures will be given by academicians, and a tour for 10,000 university students in Nantong and investment matchmaking meetings will be arranged as part of the week-long event.

This is the 14th consecutive year that Nantong has hosted the talent entrepreneurship week. Currently, the city hosts over 1.6 million talents, ranking in the top tier in Jiangsu.
