The launch ceremony for a tour for about 10,000 university students in Nantong, Jiangsu province, was held on July 10 at Nantong University, local media reported.

It was attended by students from a number of universities, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, and Nantong University.

As an important part of the 14th China Nantong Jianghai Talent Entrepreneurship Week, the 10,000 students will attend lectures and visit local enterprises and industrial parks to experience the vitality and charm of Nantong.

After explaining the city's development environment and talent policies, Zhang Tong, mayor of Nantong, invited these students to start businesses or find employment in the city.

Zhang said that Nantong is an industrial city with huge potential and a pleasant place to live and work. She noted that the city aims to become more attractive to young people by implementing competitive talent policies and offering housing and financial support.

The mayor also said that she hopes the students will gain a better understanding of Nantong and find common points between their personal pursuits and Nantong's development during the trip.
